It's nice to think...

It's nice to think, that one day, what we know through tragedy, will be obvious without.

Please pray for Yocheved Chaya Rochel bas Esther Malka

To quote from today's reading
אנא אל נא רפא נא לה בהראות לה נואם זיוך. אז תתחזק ותתרפא והיתה לה שמחת עולם

My sister is in critical condition. Wednesday morning she failed to wake up, when Hatzalah arrived she went into cardiac arrest. Baruch Hashem they revived her but she is now in a coma and on life support and although her heart is thank G-d beating on its own, the doctors say she needs a miracle. Her name is Yocheved Chaya Rochel bas Esther Malka. We do not know what caused this, she is 26 years old with no previous medical problems. May Hashem help her, she is still nursing her firstborn. Please pray for her.

Thank you and may Hashem bless you

Metropolitan Diary; It's All in the Wrist

Dear Diary:

I’m not a New Yorker, but I know I met one.

When I was at the Times Square subway station I was struggling with the entry pass. I tried it several times and each time it would tell me to “swipe again.”

A fellow working on the platform saw my frustration, came over and took the pass, gave it one big swipe, and, Presto! The gate opened.

With a smile, he handed the pass back to me and said, “You got to have attitude!

Dear Diary:

Scene: Zabar’s, recent afternoon.

Counterman, calling out numbers: “21, 22?”

Fortyish woman, waving her number: “Here!”

Counterman: “Are you 21?”

Woman: “I was, once...”

Dear Diary:

As I was walking down Second Avenue from 57th Street in mid-April, I noticed a young woman, early 20s, standing on the corner and talking on her cellphone while her toy-size dog squatted and took care of its business.

As the dog completed its task, and not missing a beat, the young woman — still talking on the cellphone — bent down and scooped up her dog’s poop with a dollar bill and dropped it into a nearby trash can.

No wonder the Europeans are flocking to United States shores!
